Staring out my window
The day is at an end
Soft grey clouds fill the sky
Blocking out the setting sun
Letting only small rays of gold pass
I hear the sound of rain
Patting lightly off the roof
Beads of water trickle off leaves
Dripping down to soak the soil
the world is puddle wonderful
Bright jade green covers everything
Twisting up the trees
Engulfing all other colours
Until it's all you see
With only small hints of gold
I open my window
A soft mist lightly kisses my skin
Everything smells so fresh
Even the light hint of dew
Flloats in the air
In the silence I hear
The crisp sounds of water
Rushing in little streams
As the rain continue
Staring out my window
The day is at an end
Soft grey clouds fill the sky
Blocking out the setting sun
Letting only small rays of gold pass
I hear the sound of rain
Patting lightly off the roof
Beads of water trickle off leaves
Dripping down to soak the soil
the world is puddle wonderful
Bright jade green covers everything
Twisting up the trees
Engulfing all other colours
Until it's all you see
With only small hints of gold
I open my window
A soft mist lightly kisses my skin
Everything smells so fresh
Even the light hint of dew
Flloats in the air
In the silence I hear
The crisp sounds of water
Rushing in little streams
